MISSION STATEMENT
The Aurora Mennonite Church exists to witness to the world of God's love as revealed in His Son Jesus Christ, our crucified, risen, exalted, and soon-returning Lord, and to proclaim salvation through repentance and forgiveness of sin in Jesus’ name. VISION STATEMENT
Our desire is to bring as many people as possible in to relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ, helping those who respond learn to live as God's people, committed to building up one another in love and to ministering the love of Jesus to our community and world.
CORE VALUES
Committed to Worship
The worship of God is our primary
ministry, offered in reverence, humility, and
celebrative joy, and involving all parts of our
being: body, mind, spirit, and emotions.
Committed to Prayer
We are called to diligent prayer and intercession with thanksgiving, believing that the power of God to transform lives and circumstances is released when we call upon His name.
Committed to the Word of God
The Bible is our final standard and authority for faith and practice, calling us to an obedient, Godly life-style.

Committed to the Word of God
The Bible is our final standard and authority for faith and practice, calling us to an obedient, Godly life-style.
Committed to Being Filled with the Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the indwelling, personal presence of the living God, guiding, inspiring and empowering us in our worship, witness and ministry.
Committed to Love as our Greatest Aim
Our love for one another is to be a reflection of the unconditional, self-sacrificing love of God as demonstrated through the gift of His Son as our Savior and Redeemer. In this climate of accepting love persons are nurtured toward healing and wholeness.
Committed to Personal Spiritual Growth
Persons of all ages are called to spiritual growth in a personal relationship with Christ, seeking through the teaching and nurture of the church to grow in biblical understanding, personal holiness, and in ministry through the discovery, development and use of their God-given ministry gifts.
Committed to Fellowship
We are called to deep, personal fellowship with other persons in the congregation, sharing life together through mutual caring, sharing, accountability, and a deep sense of responsibility for one another.
Committed to Unity in Christ’s Body
Honoring our diversity, we strive in the local congregation to work together with one heart and mind for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, recognizing that our efforts are in union with those of the larger, universal Body of Christ.
Committed to Harmony in Christ’s Body
We pattern our attitudes after those of Christ, who makes no distinction between persons and invites all humanity to full participation in God's Kingdom.
Committed to Witness
We accept as our mandate the call of Jesus to every believer to actively seek the lost, witnessing in word and deed to the salvation which is in Christ.
Committed to Service
As good stewards of all that we have and are, we accept our call to be the hands of Jesus extended to our community and world, ministering the love of Jesus to those in need through acts of compassion and kindness.
Committed to Peacemaking
Led by the Spirit we witness to all people that violence is not God's will. We follow Christ in the way of peace, doing justice, bringing reconciliation, and practicing nonresistance even in the face of violence and warfare.
Committed to Spiritual Warfare
The reality of the invisible realm of spiritual conflict calls the church to biblical confrontation through prayer and discerning ministry, applying the victory that has already been won through the cross of Christ.
Committed to Sound Doctrine
We adhere to the Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective approved in 1995 by the Mennonite General Assembly.
